GET OFF-GRID WITH UNYOKED

Despite being depressed because we can't travel O/S, it's the perfect time to flag that this is THE PERFECT TIME to travel within our own glorious country. Whether that be going all out and heading to the outback, or just exploring what your own state has to offer (once restrictions are lifted, of course). It'll give you a little something to look forward to, sans Europe.

That's where Unyoked comes in. Think of it as chic camping - not glamping. These tiny houses are located in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and are ideal for when you want to deliberately get no reception. Built for couples, or two mates they're designed so you can get back to nature, sleeping directly under the stars and waking up to the sun rise not your iPhone alarm.

We stayed in The Reserve cabin in the Central Coast Hinterland of NSW (fun fact: this one was designed in collaboration with Matthew McConaughey). It comes with everything a city-slicker who wants to have a weekend away in the bush but has no idea (AKA me) needs - linen, plates, bar fridge, Guess Who?, fire pit, proper cutlery, coffee and a shower with hot water! They've pretty much thought of everything.

The fun part is they don't tell you the exact location of your stay until a week before you're due to depart, all you know is the general location and time it will take to drive from the city. 7 days out you'll get a text and email with the coordinates and a map of your location, some details on what to pack and how to best get to your tiny house. Some require a bit more adventure than others.

What to pack: Those books you've been wanting to read for two months now, fancy food to cook on the fire, walking shoes and your favourite sheet mask.

The Reserve from $293 at Unyoked.
