QT CINEMA CLUB ft. FOUR PILLARS GIN

If you’re like me the last few months of lockdowns, restrictions and “working” from home has meant you’ve burnt through a heck of a lot of movies. Heading back into the cinema is still a bit daunting but to hell if I’m watching another movie on my crappy television. Surely there’s a better way? Enter QT Sydney and Four Pillars and the launch of the QT Cinema Club, an underground film hangout featuring bespoke Four Pillars cocktails, gin-salted popcorn and most importantly, CINEMA!
From Oscar winning blockbusters to suspenseful sci-fi and high-octane adventures, the QT Cinema Club ft. Four Pillars catalogue has been carefully curated by Four Pillar co-founder Matt Jones. And the kicker, it’s all taking place beneath QT Sydney via a hidden staircase in they city’s most historic gem – a 1930’s theatrette and speakeasy bar. To be honest I was sold at ‘hidden staircase’.

In the best supporting category, Four Pines Creative Director James Irvine has designed a cocktail menu to suit all genres. From a Hollywood Gimlet using Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin perfect for the most iconic classic films, to the romantic cinema inspired Couple Seating using Four Pillars Spice Negroni Gin. And now for the puns! We’ve got the Planet of the Grapes (Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin), The Last Action Cocktail (Four Pillars Modern Australian Gin), and Nightmare on Market St (Four Pillars Changing Seasons Gin).

If you’re feeling Scorsese you can direct your own cinematic adventure with two QT Cinema Club experiences to choose from. In a Great Gerwig mood? There’s the $79 Debut experience (one complimentary Four Pillars cocktail & bottomless gin-salt popcorn), or if Michael Bay’s more your speed there’s the $149 Blockbuster experience, complete with the full suite of Four Pillars cocktails, bottomless popcorns, snacks from QT’s Parlour Cucina and Parlour Lane Choc Top.
If you’re looking to make a night of it, the QT Sydney crew will roll out the ultimate credits with a $25 room credit per person allowing guests to go from the best seat in the cinema to the dreamiest bed in town.
QT Sydney Cinema Club ft. Four Pillars is available for private bookings of up to 28 people from December 1.
