My friend and I found the sweetest little Airbnb in Piano Di Sorrento – it’s much more local and less touristy than Sorrento town and also really easy to get to via train or bus from Naples.

Try and find somewhere that has a balcony or rooftop so you can enjoy Italian wine and cured meats with burrata at sunset! Check our spread!

EAT

Osteria Arcadia This is the most divine local restaurant! This was a true highlight, run by a lovely Italian couple, the owner (I wish I wrote down his name!!!) let us know what’s on the menu off the top of his head – he changes the menu daily to what’s fresh, I’m not even sure if this was the best food I had on the trip but the experience was well worth it. Oh – you eat in a cave.

Da Adolfo – Positano To be honest Positano, although extremely beautiful wasn’t for me as it was overrun by tourists. But a short boat ride away will take you to the fab Da Adolfo restaurant. Enjoy rockmelon & prosciutto, lemon leaves with mozzarella, lobster pasta, mussels… spritz, spritz, spritz and so on.

Wear your swimmers because there’s a beach with sun lounges that you can relax on after your lunch! P.s it’s hard to book, ask your Airbnb host or hotel to try and get a reservation prior to you leaving on your holiday!

DO

Cassano Beach The first day we arrived we headed to this beach in the afternoon, it wasn’t super busy which was nice. Rent lounges and umbrella’s and relax with a drink in hand. The water is beautiful, clear and still and the sand is volcanic black style.

To be honest it’s not the place you shop til you drop (leave that for the rest of Europe) but I swear I have never seen so many optical stores in my life than in Sorrento, so pick up some new sunnies for sure!
