TOKYO WITH LOIS VEGA

STAR SIGN: Aquarius
LIVING: Sydney
LOCATION: Tokyo
SLEEP
It was my first time visiting Tokyo and we stayed in Setagaya which was a residential district just a stones-throw away from Shibuya.
The atmosphere was definitely a bit more laid back than the bustling energy of central Tokyo.
That’s not to say it didn’t have its hidden gems – it boasted plenty of trendy bars, unpretentious restaurants and scenic green spaces!

EAT
You could literally throw a cat in any direction in Tokyo and it would hit a foodgasm-inducing eatery. The sushi and ramen are out of this world!
Tokyo is rife with themed restaurants showcasing its cultural preoccupation with the bizarre and surreal.

There is plenty to explore but I recommend the Robot Restaurant for its outrageous, neon-flooded interior and hysterical entertainment.
You feel like you’re inside a video game while watching the 90-minute gladiatorial showdown between giant robots!

DO
I’m a huge art nerd so I love to go to galleries! Going to TeamLab’s boundary-breaking digital art museum was a dream come true and one of the highlights of our trip.

We spent the day there and it was probably the most fun I’ve had at an immersive exhibition.
If you’re a Studio Ghibli fan, visiting the Studio Ghibli museum is a must!
